I am a right-brained learner so learning Spanish the old-fashioned grammar was a real stretch for me. I empathize with my American students as they acquire Spanish. I think this gives me an edge and my students appreciate that!
I decided to teach Spanish because I love the look on my students faces when they learn a skill that is useful and is a life-time of enjoyment. At Learn Spanish Fast hoy we use a teaching method called TPRS®. Is the preferred language method used to acquire a second or more language developed by my mentor, Blaine Ray.
After 25 years of teaching the Communicative Language way I pitched it overboard! I strictly use TPRS® now because it produces fantastic results! Students can speak like they learned their first language without the use of a textbook! It's not like your high school or college Spanish class! Many recently published studies prove this method works. Dr. Stephen Krashen, expert on language acquisition says, "TPRS® works much better than anything out there!". It is a brain-friendly method of language learning that uses highly interactive stories to provide comprehensible input and create an atmosphere of immersion in the classroom. All 100% comprehensible! When beginning your Spanish journey it is recommended that you take Beginning I & II to GROW Spanish language skills for lasting results! |
