 Summer 2022 Class Information

​BIENVENIDOS TO THE SUMMER SPANISH BOOK CLUB 

• We will listen to Spanish videos, read, talk about art, and discuss the life and times of the most famous female Mexican artist, Frida Kahlo (1907-1954).
• You will increase your Spanish oral fluency by listening for comprehension to YouTube videos and then discussing her life and art. 
• Frida expressed herself through the poignant reality of her art, producing over 143 paintings, 55 of which were self-portraits.
• She remains an icon of strength, courage, and audacity.
• Students will read ahead of each class then enter into Zoom Breakouts rooms to discuss chapters in the novel.
• We will also make time to create some original Frida inspired art to discuss in class.

• Students will continue their Spanish journey speaking in present and past tenses using TPRS interactive method

Learn Spanish Fast Intermediate I

• Prerequisite:  Beginning Multilevel or Profe Linda approval
• Students will continue to practice past tenses and communicate clearly.

• Students will watch movie clips about a young Salvadorian boy and read a compelling novel about love, family, and gang life all to discuss in Spanish
